This pre-cleanse exfoliation treatment is formulated with Hawaiian Red salt, which is rich in volcanic clay and minerals. I love, love, love this salon. I went for a haircut and root touchup last week. I felt so relaxed and pampered. The atmosphere is completely zen. The space is aesthetically pleasing with all the real plants and exposed wood and the calm (not the radio’s top ten hits) music.
The chairs are super comfy and the wash sinks are at the perfect height to prevent neck strain. I could sit for hours without feeling cramped or sore. I love that the products are organic, making them from both healthy for myself and the environment. I can finally enjoy a hair treatment without my eyes watering from the smell of chemicals.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their no-rush attitude made me feel like I was a priority and my hair was getting their full attention. I highly recommend The Green Hair Spa!

Since 2009, Salon owner, Jessika Guy and the crew at The Green Hair Spa have been dedicated to bringing you exceptional eco-luxury services and a mindfully curated selection of green beauty products.
The Green Hair Spa is an award winning environmentally conscious hair salon and green beauty shop located in downtown Stratford Ontario, Canada. We are a group of talented hairstylists that offer a healthy alternative to the conventional salon experience. We specialize in plant based, ammonia free hair colour and organic beauty products. Products are sold in the salon and online.
Our commitment to the health of people and planet goes beyond products and services. We believe that to maintain our integrity and beliefs we must practice our environmental commitment in all areas of the salon.
We are members of Green Circle Salons, an organization committed to helping salons dispose of their waste in a safe and environmentally conscious way.
We understand the positive environmental and social impact of supporting local. We are proud to offer some locally made products that care about the health and wellness of people and planet. Reducing our carbon foot print by minimizing the transportation of goods.
We offer a ride your bike initiative. Inviting our guests to ride their bike to their appointments, in exchange for $2 off their service.
Supplies matter! Our colour mixing bowls are made locally by Freighthouse Pottery. We use reusable & degradable foils by Paper Not Foil they made from construction waste – so cool. Everyday items like: bamboo toilet paper, compostable garbage bags & nontoxic cleaning products.
Gift bags & Promo materials: Compostable cello, Kraft paper bags, 100% recycled paper for print materials, used paper materials are shredded for packaging & always minimizing/reusing packaging where we can.
We have been Bullfrog Powered since 2010.
Last but not least, we have a very special relationship with The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority. Since 2012 we have donated $1 from every guests visit to support their great work! Resulting in the planning of thousands of trees, plants and wildflowers. Some our donated funds help support children’s programming and restoration projects in our area.

This organization protects life and property from flood and erosion, protects and improves water quality, preserves and manages natural areas, and more. We believe that supporting their great work will empower our clients to be more environmentally aware in our community and beyond.
Since 2013, we have helped fund the planting of thousands of trees and supported other environmental projects in our area. In doing this we have helped educate youth about the importance of maintaining a healthy environment and supported healthy watershed initiatives, raised awareness about environmental issues in our area (and even got our hands dirty in the process). We believe that continuing to act, speak out and bring attention to environmental issues will encourage others to do the same. We need to encourage and inspire each other to do good, and must speak for those who do not have a voice.
